We see a lot of RVs come through our doors, but none of them quite like the Heritage Glen series from Forest River RV. These travel trailers and fifth wheels were built to last, and, truth be told, these RVs are nicer than the place I call home. Seriously, not every home has custom-built cabinetry made by skilled craftsmen, designer-created fabric, and residential quality stain-resistant carpet. Every Heritage Glen RV does, though, and that’s what set them apart from the other manufacturers. If you’re looking for quality and comfort, then look no further.
With 34′-42′ fifth wheels and 26′-36′ travel trailers, you’ll definitely find a floor plan that fits your needs. You may want a king size bed to make sure you catch plenty of ZZZs or a full size residential bathtub to relax in after those long days of hiking, swimming, and running around with your kids. I know I enjoy mine for all the aches and pains from sore muscles. Luckily enough, you can have both! Forest River has spared no luxury at the expense of space for these Heritage Glen RVs.
One of my favorite features is the outdoor kitchen area. I enjoy grilling outside and unless I set up a couple of tables and grow a couple of extra arms, I run out of places to put things. The outdoor kitchen area is perfect for that! It’s a hatch door that opens and reveals counter space, a faucet and even a TV (I wouldn’t dare miss my Cowboys during football season)! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to go back inside the RV to get a plate or another round of hot dogs for the kids. The outdoor kitchen eliminates the need to re-enter your RV so you can focus on not burning the steaks (and let’s be honest, burnt steaks are no good).
On a few of the larger models, it will come standard with a fireplace! That’s right, a fireplace IN your RV for when you’re vacationing during the winter and the wind and cold make sitting around a outdoor fire unbearable.
There are plenty of other features that make the Heritage Glen series one to see in person, such as the digital thermometers, double door refrigerators, raised faucets, LG Solid surface countertops, even an outdoor shower (on some travel trailers). The EZ-Lube axles are a nice addition, since one of my biggest fears when pulling my RV is having a bearing overheat and warp due to lack of proper greasing, causing me to lose a tire. EZ-Lube axles make it easy to grease those bearings, hence the name.
