Not all campgrounds are quiet. Some are downright loud. Bring a sound machine and blackout curtains so that you create the best sleeping environment for your baby. A cool, dark room that doesn’t let in outside noise (the sound machine helps to filter that out) will ensure baby gets great sleep wherever you are.

Plan Family Activities
Just because you’re traveling with kids doesn’t mean you need to miss out on fun. If you want to hike or boat, just be sure to plan accordingly. There are many baby carriers that can hold up to 50+ pounds. For little babies, try a wrap. Bring plenty of water and snacks and your kiddos will be happy as a clam as you hike and they get to see exciting things.

Keep Your Schedule Consistent
This is the most important part of RVing with a baby. Keep your child’s nap and bedtime routine consistent. This will help them stay in a good mood and makes transitioning back home much easier. If you’re going to be switching time zones be sure to start moving their bedtime and nap times in the right direction a week before your trip, 15-minutes at a time.
