One of the things about camping is that it can get a little messy. Campsites are sometimes gravel and occasionally dirt, which means your RV floor is going to see a lot of things tracked inside. If you’re looking for some easy ways to keep your RV clean this summer, don’t miss these RV tips from a full-time RVing family!
Take Off Your Shoes
This tip is two-fold. The first way to keep your RV floors cleaner is by having everyone remove their shoes before coming inside. Unfortunately, with the frequency of how often you’ll be coming in and out of your RV at the campground, it’s not a hugely practical way to tackle the problem. We try to stick to this as much as possible but keep an entryway rug to catch most of the dirt and debris.
Use Outdoor Rugs
Another great way to limit the amount of dirt in your space is to use outdoor rugs in front of the entrance to your RV, and anywhere you regularly walk around your campsite. Even concrete sites tend to increase the amount of debris on your floors, but rugs can reduce that significantly.
Divide Your Drawers
One way to keep everything more organized is by giving all your utensils a designated spot. You can find drawer organizers at most retailers; just be sure to measure your drawers before buying dividers to ensure they’ll fit.
Keep the Broom Handy
Command strips are lifesavers for RV living. We use command strips for almost everything, but my favorite use is the broom holder that we had set up by our door. This gets used daily because it keeps the broom right there and makes it easy to sweep up any messes.
